What better way to spend a Wednesday evening following a long day in the office? The House of Peroni merges beer and fashion to bring to Covent Garden an event in partnership with London Fashion Week (LFW). The famous upmarket Italian brand has given eight emerging designers the chance to showcase their work in an incredibly Instagrammable and stylish location, all celebrated over not only the classic Peroni Nastro Azzurro, but the recent gluten free and alcohol free additions to Peroni’s portfolio.
Peroni Nastro Azzuro’s story stretches back to the 1960’s, when Italian elegance, craftsmanship and passion gave the brand it’s luxury facets which it still benefits from today. It’s crisp, refreshing taste provided by the unusual maize ingredient makes the lager truly iconic, reflecting Italy’s famous emergence in luxury fashion and design.
With that, what better way celebrate all things Italian than giving eight designers a residency at The House of Peroni fashion studio in East London, expert mentorship and the chance to present their collections during LFW.
Not only will some of the most talented designers be on display at the event, but also bartenders. Headed up by Simon Caporale, they have each given birth to a brand new Peroni-infused cocktail named after one of the fashion designers. However, we decided against one of these in favour of creating one ourselves! You can pre-book a slot at the bar to create your own cocktail under the guidance of Peroni expert, Filippo.
Combining an Italian liqueur, Martini bitter and Peroni Nastro Azzuro, we had the perfectly light and refreshing drink to enjoy whilst browsing the art and design collections. Not only that, but we’d learnt all about the history and inspirations behind what was already our favourite beer brand, plus a complimentary bottle and cocktail. It was the perfect evening in a one of a kind environment.
The event is at Unit 6, Langley Street in Covent Garden until March 9th and entry is free.
