Sweet Berry: Greek yogurt, blueberries, strawberries and honey (GF)
It has been an absolute pleasure to today be invited along to Vital Ingredients, for a pre work breakfast!
We awoke at 6am (quite an extraordinary feat for us), and made our way to Baker Street, which is the closest of a number of branches they have across London.
You can check out their locations here…
Vital has been going since 2001 and specialises in freshly made to order salads, pancakes and other super nutritious breakfasts and lunches. This means that everything you eat can be made your way – hence the hashtag #EatYourWay.
There seemed to be no better way to start a sun filled Friday morning with a great breakfast. So many times we have spoken about wanting to get up earlier and becoming ‘morning people,’ but maybe a trip here could persuade us to change our ways.
We’ve actually discussed about making this a monthly treat, so let see if we do…
We were welcomed very warmly by Andrew, who explained everything about the company and how the menu works. There was so much to choose from but I, James ended up going with a recommendation of the sweet berry protein pancakes, and Jessica got the salmon, avocado and poached egg bowl.
Both were simply fantastic, of perfect portion sizes, and full of good stuff! The pancake base was made with bananas, and covered in Greek yoghurt and berries. Jessica’s egg was perfectly runny, and it’s needless to go into how much she loves avocado.

Not only that, it’s well priced too! On average around £4 for a breakfast dish, although the extra smoothies and yoghurts could soon bump that up if you wish for more.
One thing we would say however is that we find it quite odd that they don’t open on Saturdays and Sundays. As I sit writing this on the Saturday morning on a train up to Sheffield, I wish I could’ve popped into one this morning for some breakfast, but they only open 7.30 – 4.30 Monday until Friday.
To finish off our fantastic breakfast, we took away a Vitamin C smoothie which included so many different fruits I can’t really remember them all, but there was the option to mix it with either apple juice or coconut water. We had one of each and both were equally as refreshing and gave us that little extra boost before our day at work.
As we parted ways and hopped on to buses to work, I was left feeling so refreshed and raring to go, and I guess that’s the whole purpose of Vital.
We will be back, but if you can’t make it in, then there is always the option to have it ordered from Deliveroo (you have no excuse!)
Do check out their social media channels and website which are all linked below.
A massive thank you to Vital for having us along!
