Friday night was Date Night and now the winter has come, the festivals have begun! So what better way to kick off the weekend with winter walks and most importantly, the street food.
On arrival, the first thing you’d notice is the glistening lights surrounding almost every rooftop. Top this with Christmas trees and cute statues like this one above, and you have the perfect festive scene to enjoy some great food and get that winter feeling.
The majority of the festival area was the street food village which had numerous huts of great smelling food, and we were stuck for choice! But after we weren’t able to get a hotdog at the fireworks display a couple of weeks back, ‘Oh My Dog’ were there to save us! Both were stuffed with amazing flavours and toppings, and we couldn’t stop talking about how great they were afterwards. This went down perfectly well with some plantain fries from another hut called ‘Shrimpy.’
Other than the food, there was a roller skating area which we unashamedly chickened out of, and also a fairground ride. We did do something similar to this at this same venue for The Festival of Love not so long ago, so we thought we best stick to the food area, and then head for a walk along South Bank, and we ended up in Starbucks.
Since we thought the prices of the hot chocolate in the festival was a bit steep for the amount we would have received, we opted for going to Starbucks around the corner for their new seasonal Fudge Hot Chocolate and a large one at that!
We sat inside for a while, chatted about our homemade afternoon tea we were making the next day (post up tomorrow) and our BlogmasVlogmas plans, so exciting and we can’t wait to share what we have for you all.
