Event: Brunching Bloggers at Arlo's Battersea

Since releasing our first ever #BrunchingBloggers event at Annie's Restaurant last year in October - we were excited to get planning for 2018! To kick off our 2018 dates, located 5 minutes walk from Clapham Junction station, we headed down to Arlo's in Battersea on the crisp morning of Saturday 24th February.

Arlo's have a simple and straightforward goal – to source the very best beef and serve it quickly and simply. To do one thing, and to do it very well. Put simply, they’re serious about steak, their’s focus and obsession. The place itself was simple but so pleasing, with picturesque yellow seating at the back (which of course we took some photos at)

As everyday should begin, I, Jessica, started with a latte, getting to know fellow bloggers while sipping on a coffee is the way I want to start every Saturday morning.

There was so much options to choose from the breakfast/brunch menu - it took us all a while to decide. Typically, I wanted to go for anything with avocado but I knew I had to go for something different and with their speciality being steaks.. Steak for breakfast? Yes please! I don't know about you, but I have never heard of a bavette benedict and trust me, you all need to have one in your life - break muffin, steak, poached eggs with their house smoked hollandaise sauce.

Along with my bavette benedict, I got myself a cheeky brunch cocktail, an elderflower mimosa, which complimented my dish very well.

Latte - £2.50

As mentioned in our first post, #BrunchingBloggers was born to bring bloggers together, eat good food (obviously) and network. What makes us special? We encourage diversity. We want to involve every blogger niche, people of colour and all genders. It doesn't matter how many followers you have, how much or little you blog, we just want to widen the bloggersphere and break the clichΓ©s.

It was so good to meet such a lovely bunch of bloggers. Getting to know one another, sharing stories, experiences and sharing blogging tips.

After the brunch, we all decided to head down to the local park and do a quick little photoshoot! Thanks to the lovely Amanda who took the lovely photos of everyone, as I took some of her. It was the perfect way to end our brunch (even if it was a little bit too cold.) Thank you to everyone who attended the brunch, it was a pleasure meeting you and we hope to see you again soon, and thank you to Arlo's for hosting us.

We are hoping to take #BrunchingBloggers to the next level and make it a monthly thing, so we bring you the next #BrunchingBloggers next month on Saturday 24th March: Easter Edition at Caravan - Bankside, come along and buy your tickets here.
