Restaurant: The Priory Tavern - Kilburn, London

Braised Beef Short Rib served with Roast Desiree Potatoes, Honey Roast Carrots & Parsnips, Braised Red Cabbage, Seasonal Green, Homemade Farmhouse Gravy, Yorkshire Puddings and Roast Garlic - £14.50

Considering today was one of those rare occasions when we had nothing planned this Sunday, we couldn't think of any better way of spending it than having a Sunday roast for lunch. This had been a long awaited meal, since I, Jessica had been raving and craving about having a Sunday roast for the longest of time, and today was the day when that craving was fulfilled.

After a quick Google search of the best Sunday roasts in the area, we came across here, The Priory Tavern, in nearby Kilburn. The article we found broke it down into areas of London, this one coming under North.

Leg of Lamb served with Roast Desiree Potatoes, Honey Roast Carrots & Parsnips, Braised Red Cabbage, Seasonal Green, Homemade Farmhouse Gravy, Yorkshire Puddings and Roast Garlic - £14

Taking just 10 minutes on the bus to get there, it was located on a side street from Kilburn High Road. The menu gave us the options of beef, lamb, pork belly, or vegetarian options. As you can see we opted for lamb and beef, and other than the Yorkshire pudding being slightly dry, it was all delicious - exactly what we were after!

Sticky Toffee Pudding - served with ice cream and a sliced strawberry - £4.50

We took things at a leisurely pace, and once we had nicely digested the meal, we rounded proceedings off with a sticky toffee pudding each, and then it was onwards with our day. This is definitely something which we should make time for more often!
