Restaurant: The Barista's - Watergate Street, Chester

After a fairly lazy Saturday, we were up early this Sunday to have breakfast with Grandma Baker! We do miss our breakfasts out which we did so often in Sheffield, so it was great to get back to old ways! You can always rely on Grandma to suggest great new places to eat and drink in Chester, and she pulled it off again! Although I can't believe this place has passed me by for so long. Set inside a Grade II listed building, this coffee shop is a unique part of Chester's heritage, lying on Watergate Street.

The menu gave a great selection to choose from, including all the classics which we, and everyone loves so much. In fact, I loved my sausage and bacon toastie so much that I forgot to take a photo!

All of their coffee is grounded on site, and is also available to take away with you. My latte was perfect, and Jessica's hot chocolate looked pretty spot on as well! All was served with a smile by the fantastic staff that were always welcoming and friendly.

The only fault which Grandma was quick to point out was the small plates that the food was served on, and it is the only size they have. Juggling the perfect runny eggs on there was something to be aware of!

We are back in Chester again next week, so we do hope to have another cute breakfast like this once again!
