Dinner @ Piccolino, Pepper Row - Chester

Tonight we were back at one of our favourite Italian restaurants – Piccolino. Having been numerous time in Chester and Sheffield, we know we can always count on a quality meal, perfectly Italian atmosphere and service. Hence it’s presence the list of our Favourite Places to Have Pasta and Top Date Night Restaurants, a little while back.

Pane All-Aglio - Tomato and basil - £5.00

Ravioli Granchio - Hand-picked crab, chilli, lemon & shell sh butter - £13.00 - James

I’m pretty sure each time we have been here that Jessica has chosen the same prawn linguine dish, which I can also say is a great dish! However this time I was looking for something a little bit different, so the crab filled ravioli fitted the bill. It left a bit too much room for dessert, but fortunately Olivia wasn’t able to finish so I stole the last bit of hers to fill the gap that was left. The picture of her Calzone Pizza seems to have got lost.

Linguine Ai Gamberetti - King prawns, courgette & chilli - £14.50 - Jessica & Mum

Not that we need an excuse to do so, but with it being Mum’s birthday, a couple of Rose wines were ordered for the ladies, but that’s all it took for them to become happily ‘tipsy’ (as they put it), and put them in the mood for more when we got back home. Dad and I had a relaxed beer and Olivia got completely drunk from her tap water.

To finish off the evening we shared desserts of Tirimasu and this Passion Fruit Cheesecake. Both were divine!

Torta Di Passione - Passion fruit cheesecake - £6.25 - Jessica & Olivia

  1. Wow crab ravioli!!!! Sounds amazing and subrisingly even though I hate fish and seafood crab I can tolerate, in small doses!! The food looks and sounds incred! We recently visited an Italian pretty close to us, they mostly do fishy doshes but there were a good few things for me to choose from and it was divine!!! I'm so critical with Italian resturants because I'm italian haha so hearing of great ones makes my soul happy!
