#FBbloggerseries: @Francesca_nels

Welcome to the Food & Baker food blogger series, which every blogger, vlogger, tweeter is welcome because what human being doesn't like food(!?) This is a just a simple, quick and fun series of food related questions to just to get to know each other and meet new bloggers!

We are super grateful to everyone who are involved! Let's get started!

Hey, I'm Francesca (mermaid in disguise). My Life In Rose Tinted Glasses focuses on Lifestyle mostly with beauty & food thrown into the mix!

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging as an outlet for writting. I've always had a huge passion for writing and blogging felt like the best way for me to continue at the moment. I'm a mum of two so I threw myself into blogging to keep that creative part of me alive, its of huge importance to me! Blogging allows me to write pieces for people to enjoy and potentially grow from whilst being my goofy self too!

Three Random Facts

1. My middle name is Ferrari (for real 😂)
2. I'm mad about pizza, junk food & food in general!!
3. I had a real life Dalmatian growing up, his name was Dino and this made me crazy obsessed with 101 Dalmatians!

What is your most favourite meal in the world?

My most fave meal in the world is actually really difficult for me to choose, the Italian part of me says Lasagne and the greedy part of me says a classic roast dinner with all the trimmings - Roast lamb, roast potatoes, mix of veg, stuffing, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire puddings and ample amounts of gravy... Okay the roast wins!!

Are you more of a savoury or sweet kind of person?

I'm definitely more of a sweet kind of person!! I find it really difficult not to have anything sweet after a meal, there are just way too many delicious sweet treats! However I'm sickened that fruit desserts are an acceptable option, if you're gonna do dessert do it right!!

If you could travel anywhere in the world purely for its food, where would you go?

If I could travel anywhere in the world for its food it would have to be Eastern Asia!!! I say this on my blog all the time but its my all time favourite cuisine!!

What is your favourite meal in the day and why?

My favourite meal of the day is usually dinner as thats the biggest meal 😂! We always cook from scratch so dinner time is always something to look forward to!

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be pizza!!! No messing around, pizza is just the answer to everything!! Or dim sum and bao Buns ahhh too-many-nice-food-options!!!

Do you prefer to cook at home or eat out?

I prefer to eat out than cook, its less stress and hassle and I don't have to be stuck with the cleaning up after but I'm not a millionaire yet so that lifestyle will have to be on hold! Haha!

I have tons of recipes I'm super proud of and really enjoy making but here is a really simple, yummy and quick savoury scone recipe I hope you all enjoy!

8oz Self Raising flour (alternatively you can use Plain flour but you'll need to add 1-2 tsp of baking powder)
2oz Butter
150ml Milk
A Good Pinch of salt
A Big Handful Of Grated Cheese

1. Preheat your oven to 200-220c

2. Sift the flour and salt into your mixing bowl and rub in the butter

3. Add most of your cheese leaving some to top when cut. Stir in the milk also leaving a little drizzle for when they have been cut
4. Mix into a soft dough and place onto a floured surface, knead gently a few times, now roll and cut, they should be 2-3cm thick
5. Brush the top of your cut scones with milk and add a sprinkling of the leftover cheese. Pop them in the oven for 12-15 minutes, keep your eye on them as they can brown quite quickly!
6. Cool slightly on a wire rack, add butter when warm and enjoy!!!

What's your favourite post of ours?

I enjoy Food & Baker so much, there are recipe posts, date night posts, places to eat posts just so much variety! If I'd have to choose my fave post It have to be 'How to - Homemade chicken katsu curry' I LOVE katsu!
