Favourites: July Degustabox

Today we're giving you something a little bit different - we have recently purchased our first ever food subscription box, after tweeting for recommendations, this one was the most popular, so we took trust in our fellow bloggers and took the plunge.

We decided to just pay for the one box for now to see how it goes, luckily we was given a 50% off code for our first box - so why the heck not right?

All together we purchased this box for £5.99, originally it is £12.99 and here are the list of items we received in this July Box:

ALO - Aloe Vera Drink
CRACKER DRINKS CO. LTD - Pineapple, Coconut & Lime
BAHLSEN UK - Choco Leibniz Milk Chocolate Snack Packs
ITSU - Itsu Crispy Seaweed Thins Sea Salt
JORDANS CEREALS - Jordans Swiss Muesli
ROWNTREES - Fruit Pastilles
FELIX - Sweet Pickled Gherkin
SEABROOK CRISPS - Chicken Jalfrezi flavour
REJUVENATION - Spanish Orange Water
EURO FOOD BRANDS - Dark Chocolate Acai with Blueberry

SARSONS - Balsamic Vingegar

Some I admit we haven't yet had the chance to, but will hopefully have a chance to be acknowledge via Twitter as such. Here are a few we've tried and loved!

I think I would say this was our favourite, although we're more chocolate people than sweet people, but the flavours sold us on it - The raspberry and pomegranate was defo the best one!

In regards to the drinks, the Aloe Vera I drank way to quickly I forgot to take a picture - Have always been fond of Aloe Vera and always will, I personally prefer it to be more bitty, as I know others would be very happy with it having less, the overall flavour, the honey enhanced the flavour more!

The drink above, I actually really enjoyed - only super cold though, James on the other hand was not too fussed on it but I felt happy with myself drinking a drink with no sugar, go me haha

The crispy seaweed I've actually had before, my sister is obsessed! I love it, again James doesn't love it, but to be fair, it's understandable.

The biscuits were lovely but don't we have something very similar to it already?

Overall, I feel like the box is worth the money we paid for, even if we'd pay the full price but we felt underwhelmed by the random structure of items given for our first box. We would give it another try, as it does fulfil it's concept of sending the latest and new items out and in which would allow us to explore products we wouldn't necessarily buy ourselves.

  1. Okay to I love Itsu food products, they do the best chocolate rice cakes! I need to try the seaweed also! I do know what you mean, this food box seems pretty random with the goods given! Glad you thought it was worth the money though! XX

  2. Wow the box came with so much! I've been meaning to sign up for the Try the World subscription box, but I'm so afraid of spending the money only to not like anything. Ahhh. I'm glad this worked out for you two and you liked what you got. XOXO

  3. That sounds like an intriguing (if maybe slightly eclectic) collection of things! I've never tried a subscription box but there's one with Japanese treats that I'm very tempted to order - free shipping from Japan and everything, what's not to like? Xx
