Favourites: Homebaked Treats

I don't know about you, but I think that baking is just as fun as the eating part - well maybe it's a bit biased since half the time I never eat my own baked goods, but I do enjoy creating them, even if it isn't done often (Of course I do try them and make James eat the rest and/or sometimes share with others haha)

So, as well as it being rated in the order we love the taste of them, but I think it's more rated on the memory behind it :)

1. Slow Cooked Cheesecake

How could our FIRST ever baked product not be the first on our list, it was also the first YouTube video we ever made and had our first 'disagreement' on what mesurement is a table spoon :') you can watch it here. Also, I must add that it's the first time I've ever used a slow cooker to bake! It wasn't the easiest to take out  of that small pot, but we managed to make it work!

PS - this was made way back in the day when it only used to be a visual diary and I have no idea what recipe or what book we took it from - if I ever find it, I will link it!

2. Coco Top Brownie

Oh the wonderful memories of wanting to make these so bad, that James was half asleep but I refused to go through the night without making them and ended up finishing at 3 in the morning! Spoilt girlfriend I am. but for all the right reason I promise, come on, it was for food! Ate half and went to bed, I did take some back to London with me and my sister loved them - so, it wasn't all bad and it was great fun making them!

Oh oh, we have a video making this too - didn't quite make the cut but here's a secret link to it here.

3. Cake Pops

Would you call this one cheating because I used a cake pop maker to make these? Oh well, they were delicious and made another batch of a different flavour! This pop maker isn't even ours, it was my little sisters who received it weeks before New Year's as her birthday present and as much as she likes it, we all knew she wasn't going to use it - so what better people to open the brand new box and make some for the family on New Year's Eve!

These were fun to make, especially with the younger kids to help with, super easy, with melting the chocolate dipping it in and sprinkling stuff over them! They were definitely a hit, had family members fighting over the last ones and taking the other batch home!

I know for a long long long time time, we've been promising a new baking post, but hopefully this will be a reminder to us - we have many plans, but never have the time! Forgive us and hey, maybe even tweet us and tell us off if we don't!

What's your favourite? What should we make next?
