Review: Peanut Butter Reece's Cupcakes* by @yumsandcrumbs

As some of you may know through the few brief tweets we've made, I had met up with an old friend from college, who I've managed to convince to make a blog and YouTube channel (well she did want to do it, but I convinced her to do it sooner than later) and offered to help her start off.

She is such a talented baker, as you can see above, she had kindly made me some peanut butter Reece's cupcakes for me to try out! She is only a little start up business, which I think has big potential, as well as her creating a blog and YouTube account on top of it.

Her name is Rio and I will list her NEW social media links below, as she will be doing baking related stuff, she is also a mother of two, so she also wants to blog and vlog about her lifestyle and motherhood.

So back to the cupcakes, if you have a big sweet tooth, you will defiantly enjoy these. If you are a big Reece's fan, you will most definitely LOVE these - as James isn't here, there was plenty left over from being full of eating just one! So I gave three away to family members, who enjoyed it so much and even said they would pay for these in the shop! So moist and so full of flavour, love love love it and I can't wait to eat more and hopefully make some of our own at some point.

They are all chocolate based cake, with homemade Reece's filling in the middle, peanut butter buttercream on top with chocolate drizzle and crushed peanuts - and even other one had a half of a Reece's piece.

Hopefully, you will be seeing more of her and her stuff here on our blog as we will be planning future collaborations. Please do follow her accounts and show her your support (although there is currently now content on her new accounts)

    1. They were sooo good! OMG a very chocolatey party in my mouth!
She is lovely and her kids are adorable, hopefully we'll get some content our for her soon! Oh wow, so many talented bakers out there - I like to try, but I'm not so great at presentation haha

Imagine I've had 3 to myself, not all on the same day of course! ;)

  2. Saw those cupcakes on your Instagram and immediately had to come and find out where you got them from. I'm a sucker for a cupcake, Josh doesn't really like cake though so whenever we make them he just eats the icing off the top!
It's so nice of you guys to encourage your friend to make a blog and YT - it was a friend of mines idea for us to make a blog and I'm so glad she gave us that nudge now.

Thanks for the giveaway Jess and James it really means a lot! I am so pleased I found your blog because I love food and am always looking for inspiration as to what to cook etc! But I don't need much persuasion to bake a cake! hehe!

    1. Oh that's a shame, yes I'm sure you could make these without and use an alternative, like Oreos maybe?
