Dinner @ Whyte & Brown - Kingly Court, Carnaby

James & Mum - Halloumi souvlaki, beetroot hummus, greek style salad, feta, tzatziki & pitta (v) - £10.50
Dad - Chicken souvlaki, black olive tapenade, greek style salad, feta, tzatziki & pitta - £13.50

James' family are in London this weekend, first of all because Dad, Olivia and I had tickets to go to the England v Pakistan match at Lord's today, so it turned into a whole weekend in London! Mum also came to spend the day with Jessica - they went out for lunch, and to the Tate Modern, and strolled around South Bank. Mum also got to meet Mum for the first time - so this was a big day really!

Meanwhile at Lord's, the weather was glorious and it was a great day of Test cricket. All of us met up in the evening at the hotel my family were staying at, and then we all headed out again for dinner.

Jessica & Olivia - Pulled barbeque chicken, jalapenos & sour cream - £10.50 - with Sweet potato fries - £3.50

Obviously all of the decisions in terms of where to go were down to Jessica and I, so as we knew Kingly Court in Soho had a nice variety of places, we let them chose once we got here! The family had their first experience of Uber as they don't have it at home in Chester, so we got introductory free rides everywhere!

This place specialises in free range chicken, and has a nice choice of burgers salads and kebab type dishes. Mum's, Dad's and I's were fairly Greek in nature with the haloumi and pitta bread, which reminded us of our trip to The Asylum Cafe Bistro in Sheffield. I tasted Jessica's burger and it was seriously spicy but of course she enjoyed it that way!

By the time we made it out it had gotten really late in the day so it was a lot quieter than usual, in fact we made it there just in time before the kitchen was closed. There was still a nice atmosphere however and the staff were very friendly. We would fully recommend if you're in the Soho/Carnaby area!
