Dinner @ Bintang, Camden

Rochelle - Bintang (signature sauce of concur cream, Lebanon grass, tamarind, lime leaf and galangal) with Duck - £9.50

We seem to be extremely busy recently after work, and just as we thought we didn't have anything to do tonight, there was an incoming text from Rochelle asking us to come out for dinner - and of course the answer was yes!

Joseph - Twelve Korean Chicken Wings - Crispy wings coated in sweet adobo sauce - £10.95

Myself and Joseph also had the pleasure of joining tonight, so I guess it's a double date! However this wasn't clear to Joseph, so he would like it to be known as 'friends hanging out' from now on!

Salt & Pepper Squid - £6

Rochelle came across this place on Twitter a few weeks back, so suggested we came. It's just a few doors down from  Guanabana in Camden, where we came a little while back.

Sweet Potato Nori Fries - Coriander Aioli - £5

James decided to be brave and get the extra strong curry, with Jessica choosing the same. Of course it was no problem for her, I on the other hand had to declare towards the end - I couldn't take it any more! It was seriously good though!

Ulek (a spicy and hot red curry sauce, made with mixed spices, scotch bonnet, chilli and coconut milk) with Chicken - James £8.50 / with Duck - Jessica £9.50

Although we were super full we still felt like we had to have dessert, so Jessica and I shared the Churros with coconut icecream. It may look more like cream but the waitress did apologise, saying the kitchen was like a sauna - much like everywhere today! But she did bring out some extra later on to apologise.

Suman Churros, Coconut Ice Cream, Dulce De Leche - £6.00

It's always great to go out with Rochelle and Joseph, especially with it being so spontaneous! I'm sure it won't be long until the next time.

  1. I've been to this place before with my auntie! The food way amazing, shame about the toilets though ( a good bathroom is also key at a restaurant!)

    1. OMG isn't is just, we will defo go back at some point to try more of their menu! Yeah, I personally never went, but from the other half's rating, it doesn't seem to be that great and it's true - toilets are key!
