Lunch @ London

Prawn, avocado and tomato salad with tortilla chips

Here it is, the first blog post on our new website! As mentioned in our 'Milestone' post from earlier in the week, I am in London for a couple of days now so I could bring the large bulk of my stuff from Sheffield before I officially make the move in a week or so.

I took a 3 and a half hour car journey down here yesterday, and arrived at around 8pm - which left us with just enough time to unload my stuff (it's surprising how much you can fit in a Mini), and get straight back in the car for a trip to Ikea.

We were worried I wasn't going to make it in time for it to be worth it, and if we were going to go it needed to be last night, as Jessica is at work all day today, and then of course it's Liverpool v Villarrael tonight. And as much as we like going to Ikea, priorities now!

Anyway, we just got some bits and bobs for our room - cushions, a tray for some cacti (yes, a tray for some cacti), and some racks for the bathroom. We kind of raced through the store as we only had less than an hour before it closed, so we did forget a wash basket which we had the intention of getting, but another visit maybe next week won't harm anyone will it?

As mentioned, Jessica has work as usual today, so I had a walk in the sun to Tesco to buy the ingredients for this lunch, and have made in time for her to come home at 2. We saw this on 'Tasty's' Facebook page, but they made it with shrimp instead of prawn.

Here is the link:

It was a perfect lunch to have sat outside basking in this wonderful sunshine! It was so wonderful, in the 20 minutes or so we were there Jessica somehow managed to tan her arms! (How is that even possible?)

So now Jessica is back at work I guess I should get some revision done for my exam next week. We were planning on going to Nando's this evening, but there's a rumour of a family barbecue! We'll just have to wait and see!
