Dinner @ Chester

Pasta with leeks and bacon

I picked Jessica up from work at 1, and drove straight to Ladbroke Grove where we wanted to get some lunch before heading off. As you can see, there is no lunch post, this is as this was kind of a fail! There was literally nowhere to park, and we were left regretting not walking there!

We ended up sitting in the car with some pastries from Sainsburys - this was just not blogging material so we'll just give it a shoutout here!

We then got on our way for what would be a 4 hour journey to Chester. It ended up taking around an hour to get out of London - that traffic was just ridiculous (I also took a couple of wrong turnings but we won't talk about that!)

There was a little bit of traffic on the motorways and we stopped off somewhere in the Midlands, so eventually arrived at 7.30!

Zinfandel Rose wine and Summer Berries Old Mout cider

It wasn't long before my Mum had dinner ready and soon after that we took a literally 2 minute drive to my old work - The Golden Lion, for a drink and to write up this blog post!

It incidentally ended up being a celebratory drink, as it was here we realised we reached 25,000 views on the blog, which was the goal for this year! And hey, it's only May, so that is absolutely amazing!

It's been a long day but one to remember! We have a busy day in store tomorrow with the family to check back then to see what we're getting up to!

Have a great weekend everyone!
