Lunch @ Jamie's Italian, Westfield, London

Squid & mussel spaghetti Nero - flash fried squid and mussels with tender octopus, capers, chilli, anchovies, tomatoes and white wine - £11.95 - Jessica

In the week we planned for today to be with Jessica's sister, Khyla, and her Goddaughter, Nevaeh. We took them to the cinema at Westfield to see Kung Fu Panda 3 (Jessica and I enjoyed it just as much as them!)

Meatball pappardelle - free range pork and fennel meatballs in a fiery nduja tomato sauce with herby breadcrumbs, rocket and Parmesan - £11.95 - James

Afterwards we took the obligatory visit to the Disney Store and I picked up the new Last Shadow Puppets album from HMV. Then we made our way here, which is just outside the main shopping centre.

Funky chips - £3.65

We knew this place would be good for us and for the kids - you know what Jamie Oliver is like! And I also went to the Liverpool restaurant with my Grandma once which was great! Although slightly freaked out by the look of hers, Jessica did enjoy it as did everyone else!

Crispy squid - with garlic and lemon Mayo, chilli, parsley and fried garlic - £6.20 - Jessica

The waiters were very smiley, friendly and the service was very efficient! There was a nice lunch time atmosphere as well! We would definitely recommend it for all the family!

Ultimate garlic bread - warm artisan buttermilk buns with garlic butter, Bella Lodi and rosemary - £2.95 - James

We now plan to go back into Westfield for a browse around and maybe some clothes shopping for the kids. They want to go to the park but... we'll see about that one!

Children's organic mini spaghetti and meatballs - lower Hurst farm beef meatballs with Jamie's organic seven-veg tomato sauce, homemade spaghetti and a sprinkle of Westcombe cheddar (served with a shake me salad and a drink of your choice) - £6.50

Jessica and I decided to share a dessert, although I finished off both the kids ones too! Jessica called me Noo-Noo, and Nevaeh called me as big as a Ninja Turtle 😂😂😂

Apple & blackberry pavlova - gooey meringue with whipped mascarpone, limoncello-soaked blackberries, Apple compote and spiced crumble - £5.45

A jumbo scoop of ice cream served with an Italian cookie and chocolate sauce - £1.25

When we eventually get home, we won't have long before going back out again as we will need to drop Khyla home and then meet friends for dinner. It's going to be something a little out of the ordinary so check back later to see who we're with and what we're eating!
