Afternoon Tea @ The Creperie, Ship Street

Bottom tier: cheddar cheese and caramelised onion wrap, smoked salmon cream cheese and rocket wrap, duck galette, cheese and chorizo galette, mushroom and spinach galette

After brunch, we decided to go for a walk around, although it did start to rain a tad bit. James had the idea to go visit the Royal Pavillion, but I was happy with just walking around in the park area and a quick visit to the Brighton Dome, where an event was taking place for international women's day.

When we were walking back and forth from each place to the hotel yesterday, we did notice the place, but I'm not going to lie, I wouldn't have thought to come inside, as it looks pretty small and to be honest, the outside could do with a bit of a touch up, as James said.

Top tier: banana with Nutella, strawberries and cream, marshmallows and milk chocolate, sugar and lemon
Unlimited mixed berry tea (included in price) - £24.00 for two

So how have we ended up here you ask? Well, afternoon tea was part of James' original plan for my birthday yesterday, but the place he had in mind was fully booked, so we thought to find another place via a Google search and lead us to this http://restaurantsbrighton.co.uk/afternoon-tea-review-creperie-ship-st-brighton/ which obviously convinced us.

So we started at the bottom, as you do, there was 2 wraps and 3 savoury galletes on a bed of salad. James and I decided to half everything so we both are able to taste it all. Everything tasted great and going well, until I had my last bite and noticed a dead fly on my plate.......... We were inside, I always wipe my plate clean before use, so where else would it appear from? I assumed the salad.

When James brought the plate up and told one of the workers, we were offered a coffee.. What am I supposed to do with that? I actually feel sick and my appetite had gone, it was a shame because I was so looking forward to the sweet ones!

Although, there is no law stating that they need to do anything about it, but I was just disappointed on how they went about it. It is just an unfortunate event.

Our ratings below is based on James' judgement, because I will give one star.

As we went to pay, the man at the till apologised and gave "10%" off our bill - we paid £23, correct me if I'm wrong but that's not 10% from £24 (the price is based on the review - not stated on their own website) - James wasn't bothered, so we just left.
