Dinner @ Sheffield

This morning, once James left me on my own, with nothing better to do but refresh all my social media as many times as possible haha, I came across a short video clip that someone had liked from "Tasty" - my natural instinct was to tag James in it and wrote "dinner sorted"

It looked simple, it was quick and oh so tasty! Pasta, cheese, chicken - all my favourite things!

On the way back from the Christmas market, we went straight to Tescos to get all the ingredients me needed. 

We didn't end up cooking straight away as we just ate not that too long ago and plus James was tired. We rested for a bit and say in the lounge for a bit just before X factor started. 

Ingredients & instructions below:

One-pot chicken Alfredo

(serves 2-4)
1 Tbsp. olive oil
2 chicken breasts, cubed
3 garlic cloves, minced
14 oz chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 lb uncooked penne pasta
1.5 cups grated parmesan
parsley for garnish (optional)

In a pot, heat the oil and brown the chicken.  Add garlic, and sauté for about a minute.  Add broth, cream, and pasta, and bring to a boil.  Cover and reduce the heat to a simmer for 15-20 min.  Turn off heat and stir in parmesan cheese.  Top with parsley if desired.
