Macadangdang's 50th anniversary

I guess you could call this our first proper event we went to together. This was, you know how Filipino's know everyone and are technically family, so to make this easier, this was a grandma and grandpa's 50th wedding anniversary. Here James met literately the rest of my family - everyone in my family possible basically.

It was good, everyone loved him, although he did have to leave that day, so he couldn't stay until the end.

Bubble tea @ Lakwatsa, Portobello

Here we are with our bubble teas, along with us was my cousin (who took the picture). As James has never had bubble tea before, I suggested for him to get the typical favourite flavour in Lakwatsa with tapioca balls. I personally do not like tapioca balls, so I got something else as a replacement.

Snack @ Lakwatsa, Portobello

Guess who's back in London!? James has never had bubble tea before and I am privileged to have one not so far from my house, walking distance even. Of course, we cannot just go somewhere to drink, we have to eat too. As I've mentioned before, James surprisingly has not had many different types of food, so I suggested that we got the fried squid, he loved it, even the sauce. It was nice for him to try, as this is a somewhat Filipino dish.

Dinner @ Sheffield

After our day out, we came home and James said that he will cook dinner for us, take note that this was his first him making this meal and he also wears swimming googles to cut onions, to prevent him from crying. It was completely adorable, not so embarrassing because no one else saw.

It was delicious, very impressed to be honest, but too much for me, surprised I finished it.

Lunch @ Giraffe - Meadowhall, Sheffield

We went to Meadow hall in Sheffield, to go cinema to watch 'What we did on our holiday' - not exactly the best film I've seen, but I don't think there was much to see in Sheffield, although, for what it's worth, it was funny.

Obviously, before that we came to eat here at Giraffe, I've only been here once before in London, but this is the place I fell in love with sweet potato fries and James isn't a foody, so I wanted for him to experience this taste, although, he didn't think it was anything special. Other than Tay, we chose to have something light as we just had breakfast not too long ago.

Breakfast @ Sheffield

Since James' visit to London, it only made sense that I would go up to him next, by this point, he had already moved to the university dorms in Sheffield. I arrived late Friday evening.

James says he doesn't cook much at home, but one, he has no choice but to now and two, I think he just wanted to impress me to be honest ;) although, I will give him credit that I wouldn't have thought to make him something like that.
